Where the Moon Rests
Make it stand Today is Valentine’s Day.
In its quiet spirit, I would like to share this work…
This photograph was taken in early summer of 2016,
from the deck of a small mountain house deep in the Catskill Mountains.
On that summer evening,
the sky shifted gently from blue to pale pink,
and a thin crescent moon appeared.
From a certain angle on the deck,
the shadows of the trees—full and alive in that season—
softly formed the shape of a heart upon the water.
It was not drawn.
It was not staged.
It simply appeared in that moment.
Ten years have passed.
The trees have surely grown,
and the same view likely no longer exists.
Yet the awareness I found then
remains quietly within me.
Love is unlimited and unconditional.
Love is kindness and care.
Love is everywhere.
I received this message from nature,
and I hope this piece of work will remind you of the same.
Where the moon rests,
the heart reveals itself.

この写真は2016年の初夏、
キャッツキル山地の奥にある、小さな山の家のデッキから撮影したものです。
夏のあの夕暮れ、
空は青から淡いピンクへと静かに移ろい、
細い三日月が浮かびました。
デッキから見えるある角度で、
その季節に生き生きと茂っていた木々の影が、
水面にうっすらとハートの形を描いていました。
描いたわけでもなく、
演出したわけでもない。
ただ、その瞬間にそこに現れたかたち。
あれから10年。
木々はさらに成長し、
きっともう同じ景色は存在しないでしょう。
けれど、あのときに得た気づきは、
今も私の中に静かに残っています。
愛は無限で、無条件のもの。
愛はやさしさであり、思いやり。
愛はどこにでも存在しています。
私はそのメッセージを自然から受け取りました。
そして、この作品があなたにも同じことを思い出させてくれたら嬉しいです。
