Inspired by the visual language of a tennis court, the work reduces form to its essence: color, line, and space. A single band of silver leaf extends across fields of blue, creating a quiet rhythm between separation and continuity.

The composition evokes a sense of balance and calm. The horizontal line becomes a place of pause—a threshold between above and below, thought and action, stillness and movement. The surrounding planes of blue suggest openness and depth, while the silver leaf responds subtly to changing light, revealing shifting moments of reflection throughout the day.

Part of the Line Call series, the work reflects on the moments that shape our lives. A line call is a moment when truth is tested. In an instant, a decision is made—one that can alter the course of a match, revealing integrity, awareness, and acceptance of what is.

The series reflects how our lives are shaped by the accumulation of countless fleeting decisions. We often revisit the past, questioning whether a different choice might have led elsewhere. Yet those moments have already passed.

We live only in the present.

Rendered in silver leaf, the line shifts gently with changing light, reminding us that the present moment is never fixed. Its reflection becomes a quiet mirror, inviting us to slow down, pay attention, and meet the present with clarity and awareness.
