Inspired by the visual language of a tennis court, the work reduces form to its essence: color, line, and space. A single vertical line of silver leaf divides two fields of blue, creating a quiet tension between separation and unity, contrast and harmony.

The composition is deliberately minimal. The opposing planes of color suggest dualities that shape human experience—past and future, certainty and uncertainty, self and other. Between them, the reflective silver line acts as both boundary and bridge, defining a space where differences meet.

As light shifts throughout the day, the silver leaf subtly changes in appearance, revealing new moments of depth and reflection. What first appears fixed becomes fluid, reminding us that perspective is always changing.

Part of the Line Call series, the work reflects on the moments that shape our lives. A line call is a moment when truth is tested. In an instant, a decision is made—one that can alter the course of a match, revealing integrity, awareness, and acceptance of what is.

The series reflects how our lives are shaped by the accumulation of countless fleeting decisions. We often revisit the past, questioning whether a different choice might have led elsewhere. Yet those moments have already passed.

We live only in the present.

Rendered in silver leaf, the line shifts subtly with changing light, inviting us to consider the boundaries we create and the connections that remain. Its reflection becomes a quiet mirror, encouraging a deeper awareness of balance, choice, and presence.
