Description

Stillness — No.01 is a one-of-a-kind stoneware sculpture from the Stillness collection.

Its vertical, open structure allows light to pass through the form, creating shifting shadows throughout the day. As natural or artificial light interacts with the surface, the work subtly transforms — not through movement, but through perception.

Placed in a minimal interior, it introduces quiet depth.
In a larger space, it holds a calm architectural presence.
Positioned near natural light, it becomes a study of shadow and translucency.

The balance between solid mass and negative space gives the piece visual lightness while maintaining sculptural strength. A semi-matte, subtly translucent glaze softens the surface, allowing light to gently diffuse across the form and enhance its organic character.

This work is intended to hold space — inviting pause, focus, and awareness within the environment it inhabits.

Hand-formed in stoneware and finished with careful attention to proportion and surface.
