The work is inspired by the world of professional tennis. Only the players who successfully advance through a tournament earn the opportunity to compete on the center court stage for the championship final. It is there, and only there, that the title can ultimately be won.

To reach that stage, however, one must progress through each match, one point at a time.

The layered concentric rectangles within this composition symbolize that journey.

Daily practice.
Challenges and setbacks.
